Day 2: The Curragh 

Day two of Irish Champions Festival moves to the historic venue of the Curragh Racecourse.

The richest race day of the year takes place at the Curragh, over Irish Champions Festival, Sunday 15th September with over €2.5m in prize money won on the day!  Amazing action on the track is matched by some amazing fun off it!  

Take a ride in the Formula 1 simulator and see what heart stopping speeds you can reach. And for those who prefer a gentler pace, enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the Whispering Angel marquee, wander around the course and simply take it all in.

For families, we will have our biggest ever selection of FREE children’s entertainment!  Whilst older kids will no doubt love the Formula 1 simulator, there will a huge selection of activities for younger children to enjoy from Corvenious train, superslides, carousels, spin the wheel, racecourse treasure hunt alongside our much loved face painters!  And u18’s GO FREE which is even more of a reason to visit The Curragh Racecourse for Day 2 of Irish Champions Festival! 

Sunday of Irish Champions Festival at The Iconic Curragh Racecourse is sure to be a Proper Family Day Out!

The Curragh Racecourse is home to all five Irish Classic races. There are four Group 1 races on the eight-race card, featuring the Comer Group International Irish St Leger, the final Irish Classic of the season.

Bar One Racing Flying Five and two of the best juvenile races of the year, the Goffs Vincent O’Brien National Stakes and the Moyglare Stud Stakes will also be featured on the day. 

Irish Champions Festival will again attract many of the world’s best racehorses, owners, trainers and jockeys.
